pagespeed_check answers "is my landing page slow?" two ways at once, through two free Google services: the Chrome UX Report and PageSpeed Insights. It needs no Google sign-in and no new permission: AdCopilot asks Google with its own key, and only the page's address is sent.

pagespeed_check

Read. How fast one public web page loads.

  • url: the page's address, https:// or http://, at most 2,048 characters. A bare example.com/page is read as https://. An IP address, a private-network name or an address with a user name or password in it is refused before anything is sent, and a page behind a login cannot be tested.
  • strategy: MOBILE (the default) or DESKTOP.
  • include_seo: also lists Lighthouse's SEO checks the page did not pass.

What comes back:

  • Real visitors. Google's figures for Chrome visitors over the last 28 days, on phones (or desktops, to match strategy): how long the main content takes to appear (LCP), how quickly a tap or click answers (INP) and how much the layout jumps (CLS), each at the 75th percentile and in Google's band (good, needs improvement or poor). When the page has too few visits to report on its own, the figures are the whole site's, and the answer says so. A page with too few visitors for either says that too.
  • A lab run. One PageSpeed Insights test from Google's servers: the performance score out of 100, the main timings, and up to five fixes with the biggest saving first, in Lighthouse's own words. A lab run varies a little from run to run; real visitors are what Google's ads and search use.
  • A link to Google's own full report for the page.

A lab run can take up to a minute. When it does not finish in time, the real-visitor figures still come back, with a note to try again. A page checked in the last hour, and its real-visitor figures from the last 12 hours, come back at once. A page Google could not load, or a lab run that timed out, gives the same answer for 10 minutes, so try again after that.

Until page speed is switched on in AdCopilot, the tool says so in plain words and checks nothing; nothing is counted against your day.

How fast does https://www.example.com/offer load on phones, and what should I fix first?

In the audit

The deep audit's check Landing pages are slow for real visitors (G-LP1, in Keywords and Quality Score) takes your five busiest landing pages by clicks and grades them on real Chrome visitors on phones: the main content in 2.5 seconds or less and a tap answered in 200 ms or less is good; past 4 seconds or 500 ms is poor. It uses real-visitor figures only, no lab run, so the audit stays fast. It starts once your workspace accepts the Privacy Policy update of 2 November 2026.
