Connect Claude Code and Codex
In Claude Code, install the AdCopilot plugin or add the connector with one command. In Codex, one command. Then approve it in your browser and ask from the terminal.
Claude Code: the plugin
The AdCopilot plugin registers the connector for you, so there is no
claude mcp add step. It also adds three skills and five /adcopilot:
commands. In Claude Code:

/plugin install adcopilot@adcopilot-claude-pluginThen run /mcp, choose adcopilot and authenticate. Your browser opens
AdCopilot's page asking you to let Claude Code use your AdCopilot. Press
Approve and go back to the terminal.

Claude Code: by hand
Rather not install a plugin? Add the connector with one command instead:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http adcopilot https://mcp.adcopilot.cloud/mcp--scope user makes AdCopilot available in every folder. Without it, Claude
Code adds it only to the folder you ran the command in.
Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, choose adcopilot and authenticate, as
above.
Use the plugin or this command, not both. A copy added by hand hides the plugin's; see Already added the connector by hand?.
Codex
codex mcp add adcopilot --url https://mcp.adcopilot.cloud/mcpCodex signs in through your browser the same way: approve AdCopilot on the page it opens.
Ask
In a new session, say:

Picking up new tools
The tool list is loaded when the client connects. After an AdCopilot release adds tools:
- Claude Code: run
/mcp, choose adcopilot and reconnect. If you added it by hand rather than with the plugin, you can also remove it (claude mcp remove adcopilot) and add it again with the command above. If the remove says AdCopilot is in more than one scope, runclaude mcp remove adcopilot -s userand, from the folder you added it in,claude mcp remove adcopilot -s local. - Codex: start a new session; if the tool is still missing, remove AdCopilot and add it again.
AdCopilot says so in the conversation when this is needed. Connecting another Google product needs nothing here, unless Connections marks the client Re-authorization needed. See A tool is missing or out of date.
Scheduling from the terminal
Claude Code can run AdCopilot's daily check-in from your own scheduler. See The daily routine.
Connect Claude
Add AdCopilot to Claude on the web or desktop as a custom connector — open Add custom connector, paste the URL, connect and approve, let read-only tools run without asking, then say "Get me started with AdCopilot". Works on Claude's Free plan.
