# Asset tools

> Sitelinks, callouts, calls, images, promotions, prices, lead forms and more — create them, link them at campaign, ad group or account level, and pause or re-enable a link. All writes, each proposed first.

Assets are the extra pieces that ride along with your ads: links, phone
numbers, promotions, images and more. AdCopilot can create each type, link it
where it should appear, and pause or re-enable a link. All of these are
**writes**.

## Creating assets

| `create_sitelink_asset`           | A sitelink: an extra link below your ad.                                                                                                                                               |
| `create_callout_asset`            | A callout: short text such as "Free shipping".                                                                                                                                         |
| `create_structured_snippet_asset` | A structured snippet: a header and a list of values.                                                                                                                                   |
| `create_call_asset`               | A phone number people can call from the ad.                                                                                                                                            |
| `create_image_asset`              | An image (PNG or JPEG, up to 5120 KB) from a public image URL or a `data:` URI. AdCopilot is hosted and cannot read files on your computer, so pass the image itself as a `data:` URI. |
| `create_promotion_asset`          | A promotion: a sale or special offer.                                                                                                                                                  |
| `create_price_asset`              | Products or services with prices.                                                                                                                                                      |
| `create_lead_form_asset`          | A form that collects details directly from the ad.                                                                                                                                     |
| `create_text_asset`               | A headline, description or long headline for a Performance Max asset group.                                                                                                            |
| `create_youtube_video_asset`      | A YouTube video for Performance Max.                                                                                                                                                   |

## Linking assets

| `link_asset_to_campaign`  | A campaign.                        |
| `link_asset_to_ad_group`  | An ad group.                       |
| `link_assets_to_customer` | The whole account: every campaign. |

## Pausing and re-enabling a link

| Tool                        | Changes a link on |
| --------------------------- | ----------------- |
| `set_campaign_asset_status` | One campaign.     |
| `set_ad_group_asset_status` | One ad group.     |
| `set_customer_asset_status` | The account.      |

`PAUSED` stops the asset serving there; the asset and its other links are
untouched. `ENABLED` switches it back on. `REMOVED` is refused. Find the link
first with `list_asset_links` (see [Read and report](https://adcopilot.cloud/docs/tools/read)).

## Asset groups (Performance Max)

| `create_asset_group`        | Creates a PMax asset group and links the assets you give it, in one step. |
| `add_assets_to_asset_group` | Adds more assets to an existing asset group.                              |
