AdsCopilot (adscopilot.com): screen-context advice in your browser
Described fairly, AdsCopilot is "your AI copilot for digital advertising" — an extension from Knower Tech that overlays the interfaces of Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and DV360, reviews the campaign setup on your screen, flags issues, and produces client-ready summaries. Its own tagline captures the intent: the colleague who is never too busy to review your work. It earned genuine press — Digiday covered it as an AI overlay agencies could use at no cost during its beta — and it is a reasonable product for what it is: a second pair of eyes across many platforms, with no API setup at all.
Its limits follow from its architecture, not from any failing: it sees what you see, when you are looking. It advises per question, meters usage on its lower tier, and does not operate on the account through an API.
AdCopilot (adcopilot.cloud): account access over MCP
AdCopilot is infrastructure rather than overlay: a hosted Google Ads MCP server. You sign in with your own Google account, receive a private connector address, and paste it into whichever AI client you work in. From there the client can query anything in the account and — with your approval on each write — change it: campaigns created paused, ad groups, RSAs, keywords, negatives, assets, geo targeting, schedules, budgets. It cannot delete anything: the four remove tools are never exposed, and a mutate carrying status REMOVED is refused server-side, in any letter case. Every call is logged.
Also not us: Microsoft Advertising's Copilot
A third name completes the confusion set. Copilot in Microsoft Advertising is Microsoft's own AI assistant inside the Microsoft Ads platform — it drafts campaigns from a landing page, generates creative assets, and answers performance questions, at no extra cost, for Microsoft's ad platform. It has no connection to AdCopilot or to AdsCopilot, and it does not touch Google Ads.
Which tool for which job, honestly
Want a reviewer while you drive five different ad UIs yourself? AdsCopilot is purpose-built for that, and an API connector is not — AdCopilot has no opinion about your Meta account and never will. Want your AI client to do the driving on Google Ads — read live data, argue its case, execute approved changes, leave an audit trail? That is connector territory, and a screen reader cannot reach it.

The deeper difference is what you are trusting. An extension is trusted with your rendered pages — whatever appears in the tabs it can see.
