What to load, and when
Long context is a budget, not a licence. The pattern that works: load structure broadly, then let the model fetch detail on demand — its tools can read deeper whenever a finding needs more resolution, so nothing has to arrive up front. Date-bound the heavy tables — search terms, change history — to the window you actually intend to reason about. And start a fresh conversation when you switch accounts: one account per conversation keeps every claim traceable to its data, which matters the moment a finding turns into a change.
Deep-dive workflows: waste hunts, keyword conflicts, RSA rewrites
The waste hunt. "Find spend with zero conversions in the last 60 days — search terms, keywords, and placements — grouped by how confident you are that it is genuinely waste rather than assisted or lagged." Keyword conflicts. "List every case where a negative keyword at any level blocks a keyword we are actively bidding on, and every pair of ad groups whose keywords overlap enough to compete with each other." This is the classic spreadsheet-melting analysis — cross-joining negatives against keywords — and it is precisely the shape of work a model with the whole account in context does in one pass.
RSA rewrites. Have Claude read the actual queries that convert, then rewrite weak ads in that language: fifteen headlines, four descriptions, pinned lines where compliance requires them. The second opinion. Before a big change — a restructure, a target overhaul, a budget shift — hand Claude the plan and ask it to argue the other side: what the change risks, what the data says against it, and what you would need to believe for it to fail.
